A fun and informal way to get involved is to be a mentor to a GATE student. Typically these interactions happen via phone or e-mail. When teachers identify what type of expertise is needed, we search our mentor database or put out a call for volunteers. If you can spare a few minutes to share your experiences with a GATE student, we’d like to know! Send us a note at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll add your name to our database. It’s a great opportunity to share your expertise and unique experiences!
GATE PARENT ASSOCIATION REPRESENTATIVES
We are always looking for people who are able to offer their time and energy to help run the activities of the GPA. You do not have to be an expert in giftedness. We are fellow parents like you who are busy with similar issues of work and raising our families, but we care about our children and our gifted community…we want to give back.
Please consider volunteering for a role within the GATE Parent Association, so we may continue the work that we do.
