The GPA and Louis Riel School Council Purdys fundraiser was such a great success last Christmas, we’re doing it again! If you’d like to volunteer to help with the fundraiser, please email us. Also, if your school site is interested in doing a fundraiser with the GPA, please email us. We’d be happy to work with the school councils of our other GATE schools on a Purdys Christmas or Easter campaign.
The CBE’s gifted specialist, Laurie Alisat, is beginning a new adventure. We can’t thank her enough for all that she has done for the GATE program, for our children, and to contribute to the giftedness conversation in Calgary in general. We know that she will continue to work tirelessly to promote the needs of gifted children in her new role, and we wish her the best of luck. The GATE Parent Association looks forward to working with the new gifted specialist once one has been appointed by the CBE.
